Ian Ian places in New Jersey Undergraduate Mathematics Competitions

Ian Askins, of Hillsdale, NJ, led Fairleigh Dickinson University to a strong showing at the 2014 Garden State Undergraduate Mathematics Conference on April 5. A member of the FDU team, Askins placed first out of 96 students in the Individual Competition. The FDU team, made up of three Metropolitan Campus Math Club members, placed fifth out of 32 teams from universitys all over New Jersey.

FDU's Metropolitan Campus, located in the dynamic New York/New Jersey corridor in Teaneck, N.J., features a university atmosphere with an international perspective, attracting students from the United States and around the world. Undergraduates have access to the resources of a major graduate center and nearby New York City as an integral part of their learning experience.
